Newberry Creek opening and decommissioning
Newberry is nearing completion for more sustainable uphill MTB travel per USFS guidelines. Join the crew to open the new sections, decommission the old ones to help keep sediment out of the creek as the trail gets more use. Limited spots available

About the event
Newberry Creek Trail is an incredibly special place. Join the crew to use USFS guidelineshelp to finish relocated sections of the trail, and decomission old ones . The purpose of these relocations is to help reduce our impact on these fragile ecosystems by moving the trail further from the stream.
This is a fantastic opportunity to skip the climb and get right to the goods, while making a positive impact on the forest.
Newberry creek is one of the most beautiful areas in Old Fort, and generally miles away from parking. We'll drive up the road and park in the upper lot to work and enjoy the land for the day.
Difficulty 4-5/5
Fresh, loose trail, rock work digging, use of rigging, possible heavy lifting. Although not the longest walk in, we will be tired at the end of the day!
