Salt Gap Trail Rock Armoring

The temperature difference from Mount Mitchell to Old fort can be enormous this time of year. Let's skip the ridgetop winds and head out into the lowest/ warmest country we can. Salt Gap Trail is a different beast than it was a year ago, and the rock work continues! We'll work together to rock armor an area prone to mud to keep sediment out of the creek, and keep horses and people high and dry. Bring snacks, water, sturdy hiking boots, long pants, gloves, eye wear, some good jokes and anything you may need to be in the forest rockin' with other people for the day.
