On February 28th, Tanawha Adventures is hosting a 15K trail race at Catawba Falls — and ahead of race day, we’re putting in some meaningful trail work to benefit runners, hikers, and the forest.
To prepare the course and improve the trail for everyone, G5 Trail Collective is looking for a small group of volunteers to hike in and help clean up the creek crossing at the base of the upper falls. Wooden debris from the old observation platform is present and needs to be moved out of the way to create a safer passage.
Please be prepared with a backpack with water, snacks, any extra meds you may need, weather/ sun protection. Due to the nature of the project, your feet may get wet, be prepared! We will provide gloves and safety glasses but feel free to bring your own.
