Event Details:

We need your help keeping McDowell County beautiful!  We’ll meet at Old Fort Ride House (59 Commerce Street) a little before 9.  You can park in the gravel lot.  The Old Fort Ride House will provide hot coffee to get us fueled up and ready to clean up!  From there, we will break off into groups and tackle different sections of Mill Creek Road & Old 70.  Routes will be no longer than 2 miles, from start to finish.  Keeping McDowell Beautiful will provide safety vests, trash bags, and trash grabbers.  Please bring work gloves if you have them.

Hillman Beer is providing free beer for all volunteers! After the clean-up, we’ll all meet back up at Old Fort Ride House to drop off supplies, and head over to Hillman to enjoy a beer.  Lunch will be available for purchase to anyone who is hungry!

COVID-19 Statement:

We will require participants to wear masks while gathered in large groups. Once we break off into smaller groups, and if you’re safely distanced from other volunteers, you can take your mask off.  Please RSVP for this clean up so we can plan accordingly and keep all participants safe!  We will have Kitsbow Face Masks available for free for anyone who does not have a mask.
